Lelia Jo Dusthimer
Lelia Jo Dusthimer (“L.J.”) is from Mount Vernon, Ohio. She graduated from Kenyon College, where she studied international studies and Arabic. L.J. is a two-time intern at The White House, serving in the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and in the Office of Presidential Correspondence. She has also interned at the U.S. Department of State. She is a recipient of the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship, the Boren Fellowship and the Gilman Scholarship. She was a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Malaysia and started a nonprofit initiative to improve women’s access to healthcare in Nepal. Following her graduation from MSFS, L.J. will enter the U.S. Foreign Service as a Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellow. Her languages include Arabic, Hindi, and French.
