Kevin Martin
Kevin Martin is a second-year MSFS student with a concentration in Global Politics and Security. His professional interests lie primarily at the nexus of political risk consulting and corporate foundation giving, as it relates to public relations. Kevin’s coursework encompasses all three MSFS concentrations.
Immediately prior to MSFS, Kevin worked over the summer with the consulting firm Oxu Solutions. He provided project team setup support for a monitoring and evaluation system for a Mercy Corps project funded by USAID in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Prior to this, he wore many hats as a Program Officer at Eastern Congo Initiative (ECI), a grantmaking and advocacy organization founded by actor and filmmaker Ben Affleck that works to connect smallholder coffee and cocoa farmers with international buyers such as Starbucks and Theo Chocolate. Prior to ECI, Kevin interned at a Washington, D.C. think tank, providing research support in political-military affairs
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Spanish from Ohio Wesleyan University, where he focused on Ibero-American relations, the politics and history of Latin America, and International Relations.
"I chose MSFS because Georgetown’s faculty of top-notch practitioners and scholars, access to influential policymakers, and academic rigor will prepare me for a career in service in an increasingly interdisciplinary world.”
