Jeeyun Lee
Jeeyun Lee concentrates in Global Politics and Security in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program. Prior to MSFS, she worked for the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea, where she was involved in intergovernmental negotiations, legislation, and public communications.
While working for the Korean government, she participated in free trade agreement negotiations with China and Japan regarding food, agriculture, and fisheries. She also managed legislative procedures for several amendment and enactment bills at the Korean National Assembly, including recent laws on marine conservation, operated national remediation programs from marine oil and debris pollution, and coordinated strategic communication events and programs to promote innovative and efficient work culture.
Her academic interests include international law, international institutions, and global governance on science and technology to address marine environmental issues. Jeeyun holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from the Seoul National University. She speaks Korean, English, and Mandarin Chinese.
