Hangyul studied International Studies and Development Studies at Emory University, where she wrote her honors thesis on South Korean policies on marriage migrants. As an MSFS student, Hangyul aims to learn how the private and public sectors can work together to utilize innovative solutions to address societal issues. She is concentrating in Global Business and Finance to improve her financial literacy and learn how to make financial investments that contribute to social equity. Hangyul is also involved in the entrepreneurial space at Georgetown, working on promoting women-led entrepreneurship and connecting MSFS students with the vibrant startup scene in D.C.
"I really appreciate how MSFS promotes teamwork and encourages students to add value as individuals to the broader Georgetown community. During my master’s, I wanted to surround myself with interesting and talented people who valued cooperation.”
