Elizabeth Whatcott
Elizabeth Whatcott is a MSFS ’24 candidate in the Science, Technology and International Affairs concentration. She focuses her studies on the intersection of emerging technologies, foreign affairs, and human rights. During her time at Georgetown, Elizabeth has been a Google Public Policy Fellow at the Center for Democracy and Technology, a MSFS Fellow at the Global Network Initiative, and a virtual intern at the Office of the Coordinator for Digital Freedom at the Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy at the U.S. Department of State. She also completed a summer internship on the Global Public Policy and Human Rights team at Yahoo.
Prior to her studies at Georgetown, Elizabeth was the Program Associate and Special Assistant to the Executive Director at the Reiss Center on Law and Security and the NYU Center for Cybersecurity, both based at NYU School of Law. Elizabeth completed post-graduate internships with the Europe Practice at the Albright Stonebridge Group, the Washington, D.C.-based global advisory firm, and with the Institute of World Politics, a graduate school focused on national security and foreign affairs. Elizabeth graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University with a BA in International Relations and a minor in French.
