Christiana Metaxas
Christiana is a Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) candidate in the Global Business and Finance concentration. As a linguist, her academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of language and international relations.
She has served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant to Cyprus. While in Cyprus, she engaged with issues of U.S. foreign policy with Embassy Nicosia, volunteered as a Greek and English language resource for refugees, and joined a traditional Greek dance troupe.
Christiana earned her B.A. summa cum laude from Binghamton University, State University of New York. She received honors in linguistics for her senior thesis on Greek heritage speakers in the United States and has spent time studying in France and Spain.
Before starting the MSFS program, Christiana worked as a Senior Project Manager at TransPerfect, where she managed translation and regulatory consulting projects for clinical trial drug labels. In this role, she worked closely with over thirty languages. Christiana speaks English, Greek, and French and has studied Spanish and Japanese.
"I chose MSFS because of the program’s commitment to service and because of the people in the program (leadership, professors, and students) who embody this core value."
