Bongiwe Bongwe
Bongiwe Bongwe is a first-year Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) candidate concentrating in Global Business, Finance, and Society with a focus on global government relations and building strategic cross-sector partnerships. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with honours in International Relations from Drew University (CLA 20'). Bongiwe is an international student from Johannesburg, South Africa.
Prior to MSFS, Bongiwe gained formative experiences as a writer at Amnesty International South Africa, a research intern at the Public Affairs Research Institute (PARI), and a member of Transparency International's 2019 Transparency School cohort. Her research expertise is in controlling corruption, promoting good governance, and enhancing transparency in private-public partnerships. As an MSFS student, Bongiwe is focused on sharpening her global geopolitical risk assessment, stakeholder management, financial economic, and business analysis skills. Preparing herself for a career at the intersection of global affairs and business. At Georgetown, Bongiwe is one of the primary organizers of the Georgetown Africa Business Conference.
