International Engagement on Cyber 2013

On April 10, 2013, Georgetown University’s Institute for Law, Science and Global Security held its third annual International Engagement on Cyber conference. This gathering promoted dialogue among policymakers, academics, and key industry stakeholders from across the globe, and explored the worldwide community’s increasing interconnectivity in this domain.

On April 9, 2013, The Honorable Mike Rogers, U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 8th Congressional District and Chairman for the U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and Mr. Kevin Mandia, Founder and CEO of Mandiant, gave the keynote address at the pre-conference dinner, which was followed by a moderated discussion amongst attendees.

Drawing on the experience of government practitioners, industry representatives and academic scholars, this event brings a multidisciplinary and international approach to the challenges in cyberspace from technical, corporate, legal, and policy perspectives in both the United States domestic and international realms. Participants of diverse disciplines and various national and international organizations advance the topic of cyber security and facilitate a broader global discussion of, and positive momentum for, the development of norms in cyberspace to create a safe, stable, and predictable cyber environment.

Dr. Catherine Lotrionte, Director, Institute for Law, Science and Global Security, Georgetown

Hon. Ronald K. Noble, Secretary General of INTERPOL
