Title: Teach For China Recognizes MSFS Student As Alumni Ambassador

On Thursday, November 21, Teach For China named 10 Alumni Ambassadors to the 100,000 Strong Foundation. These alumni were celebrated at the 100,000 Strong Inaugural Conference in Washington, DC, an event that highlighted the importance of the US-China bilateral relationship and featuring a keynote address from Vice Premier Liu Yandong. MSFS’s own Justin Halpern (MSFS’15) was one of the alumni named as an Alumni Ambassador.

Justin spoke about his experiences teaching in rural Yunnan Province during a panel led by Ford Foundation President Darren Walker. He commented that although he initially joined Teach for China without the ability to speak Mandarin, he is now proficient in the language and is currently pursuing a career in diplomacy at MSFS.

Congratulations to Justin for this exciting and impressive accomplishment!
