Presidential Management Fellows

The Presidential Management Fellows (formerly Presidential Management Internship) Program is designed to attract talented graduate students to accelerated management careers in federal government. Each year, more than 400 PMFs receive two-year appointments at the GS-9 level. After two years, they are eligible for promotion to GS-12. PMF emphasizes career development, offering a structured orientation, seminars, briefings and conferences, as well as on the job training.

Georgetown University has been among the top three universities in the country sending Presidential Management Interns and Fellows into the Departments of State, Defense, Homeland Security, Commerce, Treasury, and other government agencies.  MSFS students receive direction and advice in writing their applications and preparing for interviews for this elite program.  Success in placing Presidential Management Fellows illustrates our commitment to public service, and the excellence of those MSFS students who seek careers in government.
