Monitoring and Evaluation

In this workshop, students examine how to design monitoring and evaluation systems that are responsive to the needs of program managers and other information users. Through the introduction of practical tools and hands-on use of monitoring and evaluation skills, participants in the workshop:

  • Determine the basic aim of the M&E activity

  • Identify important evaluation stakeholders and their specific information needs

  • Focus evaluation questions

  • Select data collection and analysis methods

  • Plan ways for presenting evaluation results

  • Plan how to organize the M&E activity.
