Professional Experience

Prior to enrolling, I was a production manager for "Right Now", a radio program in Melbourne, Australia that introduced human rights issues to popular dialogue. Following this, I was a Digital Media Associate at The One Campaign in Washington, D.C and became the East Coast Editor for RYOT, an American news source that encourages readers to take social action through clickable links to nonprofits, NGOs and activist organizations. Changing my title from East Coast Editor to Middle East Correspondent, I ventured to Israel on a teaching fellowship, where I reported from the field, taught English to students in Israel's periphery and worked with the refugee/asylum seeker community at the African Refugee Development Center in Tel Aviv.
