MSFS faculty member Evgeny Morovoz was featured on National Public Radio after authoring an article in Foreign Policy Magazine, titled "Anne Frank + Balloon Boy = Slacktivism."  In the interview, Professor Morovoz comments on the troubling nature of the "Tweeting" phenomenon.  He references an incident in which a boy was thought to have floated away in a balloon as an example of how social networking sites pose a threat to more productive potential uses of time.
