International Development Students Organize Internship Panel

Each summer, MSFS International Development concentration students participate in internships across the globe.  These summer internships range rom working with the Independent Election Commission of Afghanistan, to doing research on domestic violence in Namibia, helping to design marketing strategies for social entrepreneurs in Brazil, pioneering the creation of student councils in elementary schools in Yemen, or assisting J.P. Morgan in formulating investment strategies for emerging economies.

The MSFS Class of 2010 International Development concentrators took the initiative to organize a forum targeting the new first-year students to share their internship experiences on September 11, 2009.  Addressing questions about how they obtained these internships, what they liked and did not like, what they learned, and what they wish they had done differently, the second-year students continued the well-established and distinctive MSFS tradition of open dialogue, peer learning, warm collegiality, and active networking among their colleagues.
