MSFS students are a challenge and a joy to teach--smart and opinionated, they never let me forget the critical role for the academy in addressing the pressing problems of today's world. Indeed, since coming to Georgetown, I have been struck by the ease with which my faculty colleagues move from deep theoretical discussions to the details of current policy--a truly unique quality among international affairs programs. Our location in Washington is also a great advantage, and allows the Georgetown community to continually interact with political leaders, policy makers, and business leaders from all corners of the globe.
