Miguel Estien

After five years of practical international exposure, I wanted to become grounded in the theory and contemporary issues in world affairs. With a solid career background, the trade-off of joining a graduate school lies in whether the institution's offerings can provide faster development than that gained by staying in the job market. I looked for four aspects to ensure that higher payback: a broad academic program, solid internship opportunities, a respectable alumni network and finally the overall advantages that only Washington DC can offer in this field. No institution other than Georgetown offered this perfect mix of winning variables.
