For me, the most important factor in selecting a graduate program was that the school's professors were practitioners of international relations, and not just academicians in the field. I want to learn from those who can give me a real world, inside perspective of how policymakers assess information and form foreign policy. Georgetown has instructors with government, NGO, and private sector experience, many of whom have worked in more than one sector giving them a rounded view on international affairs.
